O.J. Simpson May Soon be a Free Man 

O.J. Simpson may soon be released from prison.

You heard that right.

Simpson’s early release date is fast approaching, leaving four members of the Nevada Board of Parole left to make a difficult decision - should Simpson be released from prison?

In 2008, Simpson was sentenced to 33 years in prison, with a minimum of 9 years, for partaking in armed robbery in an attempt to retrieve sports memorabilia that Simpson claimed was his.

Many are convinced that this harsh sentencing was payback for the 1995 (Nicole Brown) trial in which Simpson was found not guilty of committing double murder.

This decision, of whether or not Simpson will be freed, will be made on Thursday, July 20. Simpson will be video-conferenced in from the Lovelock Correctional Center, a medium-security prison where Simpson has been serving for nearly 9 years.

Four members of the Parole Board must agree on whether Simpson should be released.

If four cannot, two board members in Las Vegas will be patched in by either phone or video conference. And, if the board is divided 

3-3, Simpson must wait until January 2018 for another hearing.

If the Board concludes that Simpson is eligible for parole, Simpson will be freed on October 1.
If denied parole, Simpson will be forced to wait for another hearing to be granted, which could take between one to three years.

Legal experts assume that Simpson will likely be granted release.

  Times Square Car Crash Leaves 1 Dead and 22 Injured

Last week, a 26 year-old man, Richard Rojas, drove his vehicle on the sidewalks of Times Square for three and a half blocks killing at least one and injuring twenty two. Rojas tried to run from the scene but he was chased down and captured by citizens as well as police. Although terrorism was immediately suspected, investigators now say that this was simply either a terrible accident or perhaps a crime. Rojas claims to have "heard voices" that compelled him to commit this horrible act. He has been charged with second-degree murder and 20 counts of attempted murder.

   Former Star of “The Bachelor” Arrested for Involvement in Fatal Car Accident

Chris Soules, the former star of hit reality TV series “The Bachelor,” as well as a former Dancing With the Stars contestant, has been arrested after fleeing the scene of a car accident which resulted in the death of an individual.  

Soules was driving a Chevy pick-up trucked and crashed into the rear of John Deere tractor that was being driven by Kenneth Mosher. Mosher was pronounced dead at the hospital. Chris Soules was not badly injured in the accident and fled the scene to his home, where he was later arrested and taken into custody. He was charged with fleeing the scene of a deadly car accident. He has since been released on $10,000 bail.

Grandmother Punched Inside an Atlanta Walmart 

A 75 year-old grandmother is now suffering from bruises on both her face and arms after claiming to have been repeatedly punched by a woman while in the bread aisle of an Atlanta Walmart on Sunday. 

The grandmother was utilizing one of the store’s mobility scooters when she accidentally ran into Alexa Venderburg with her scooter.

Venderburg reportedly cursed at the grandmother to move away. After having moved, the grandmother cursed back at Venderburg under her breath, which tempted Venderburg to punch the woman. 

“I had my glasses on and she just kept socking me in the glasses, and then she socked me in my mouth because my mouth is real sore,” claims the grandmother. 

The grandmother yelled for help, which made Venderberg leave. However, Venderberg did leave behind her cell-phone in the basket of the grandmother’s cart.
